Why am I joining ballet
- I want to join ballet because I think it is a very graceful and beautiful dance. It is my passion to do ballet courses. My parents also agree. I want to dance on the stage and show my ability to everyone. When I saw my friend Sara, I noticed her enjoying ballet so I made up my mind that I am going to join ballet too. I want to make my parents proud of me.

Why I'm in ballet
- When I was seven years old my mom put me in karate even though I wanted to be in ballet. I did it for six months and hated it! I told my mom that I wanted to be a ballerina so she put me in ballet. I knew from the instant I saw the movie "Barbie and The Nutcracker."

I love ballet
- I think ballet is one of the most beautiful, artistic, disciplinarian, and confidence boosting way to express oneself. I am 19 and have always loved dancing, singing and other arts such as drawing and painting. Any way I could express myself I would do it. Sometimes I would have problems expressing myself or feelings toward something or someone and by doing arts it was easier and I felt more confident about explaining myself. However, I was not put into ballet as a child. The only thing my mother put me in as a child was gymnastics and that was only for one year. But lately I've been watching more things on ballet and contemporary dancing and I am stretching and progressing. I don't have plans to be this amazing blow-you-away dancer, but even so, it really is a wonderful way to express every bone in your body to everyone! I would recommend it to anyone and will definitely give my child a chance to experience it in her childhood.

Studying Ballet
- My mom put me in classes 12 years ago and I loved it, so she never took me out. She has always said that if I didn't like it she would take me out. But I have always loved doing something other than the "traditional" girls' activities.

Ballet for children
- I was put in ballet at 3 and never looked back. While I have a carrer as an instructor now I still believe that ballet instilled so much poise, discipline and self-confidence that I might not have otherwise had. While ballet allows a child to active much like other youth activities (soccer, basketball, baseball) ballet has a strict set of rules and etiquette that children do not necessarily receive in other activities or in their daily routines. It's a great balance. In addition ballet does something many other activities do not, self-expression and confidence. Children are encouraged to be creative and be confident with that creativity. Any child that can go up on a stage an display what they have learned while also trying to express an emotion is an amazing thing. As a child dance class was one of the only places that I did feel self-confident because it was so strongly encouraged to make your mistakes big and even when you make them keep going and keep smiling it doesn't matter.

Studying Ballet
- Your kid learns some French because all the positions are French, (even the word ballet is French) It teaches control and coordination, it also teaches you to be graceful.
