When it comes to pointe shoes, the brand that is best for you may not be the best for someone else. Everyone's feet are different, and some pointe shoes will naturally fit your feet differently.

Do you have a favorite brand of pointe shoe? Which brand fits your feet the very best? Tell us your favorite pointe shoe, and why you love it the very best. Share Your Favorite

Mirella

Well, this is my first year on pointe and since it's time for me to get new shoes, I figured I should share my experience. I'm 12, first off. I tried Capezio, and ugh, just no for my feet. Mirella was the first pair I tried on and it felt great. Most people say "Oh my gosh we looked through the whole store and....", well, not for me. I tried on 3 pairs and that was it. I'll post a new response when I get new ones.

Bloch

Ive been using Bloch since I was 10 and I'm 15 now :) These pointe shoes are brilliant! Their soft and comfy! And try last longer than the Grishko's that my teacher bought for me. I strongly recommend Bloch!

Bloch Serenade

The bigger box and platform are quite comfy. They are also very quiet.

Capezio

I use Capezio, and I think they are comfy and pretty at the same time. I just started dancing en pointe, though.

Tendu

Tendu breaks in very quickly and is very easy to manipulate through with the foot. Not the best support though, unfortunately.

Chacott Veronese II

This is my fourth year of pointe - also my fourth pair of shoes! So far these are my favorite - Bloch took forever to break in and the Grishko Proflex died after three months. Chacott is definately the most comfortable and has just the right amount of support. The awesome gold color is a plus too, compared to the boring pink most shoes are.

Grishko

Grishko pointe shoes work so well for me! I have very wide feet and extremely high arches. I have the 2007's at the moment and they just work with me (a 6 XXXX). Very good platform for balance and nice to look at, too. (I do cheat a bit and use gel toe caps.)

GRISKO!!!

Right now I have Grisko 2007 proflex, and they are really supportive yet comfortable and flexible. The only breaking in I had to do was my demi pointe and I did that, of course, by rolling up. They fit my foot well because I have a tapered foot, so I have to have a box that narrows just a little, but I have a wide foot...... which makes it difficult sometimes. But the shank , since it is a proflex, automatically followed my foot before I even put on ribbons or elastics! It is also quieter. I mean, all pointe shoes are noisy, but they are quite a bit quieter than the others. I speak from experience.

Capezio

I've used capezio since I started dancing on pointe, and I always buy Ana Pavlova's they are extreamly narrow full satin, so not great for begginers (although I got them without knowing but managed) but capezio is always very comfortable.

Bloch or Capezio

Bloch or Capezio pointe shoes work best for me:)they are great to dance in,don't hurt alot like some of the other ones i've attempted to wear and are extremely comfortable and really.....soft! I love either brand and I think this brand would work for any average foot....:)
