pracice makes perfect

Take your time in improving your turnout. NEVER turnout more than you are comfortable unless you are instructed to do so, you can end up doing some serious damage to your ankles and knees. Take your time and practise regularly, it will happen gradually.

Take your time

Always turn out from the hips, NOT the knees. If you don't, you could have knee problems later on. If you are thinking about taking a class, go for it. You can work with whatever turn out you have, and it will develop naturally as you progress. I have been dancing for a long time with a lot of the same people and we all have different levels of turnout, it's all good.
