Guide Review - Movie Review - "Step Up"
Step Up under the direction and choreography of Anne Fletcher, pleases viewers with its leading stars: Channing Tatum as bad-boy Tyler and Jenna Dewan as Nora, a spoiled ballet dancer looking for a chance to dance. The two, predictably, find each other as dance partners. Young viewers will appreciate the steamy dance scenes, as well as the steamy young actors.
The romance factor of this movie will delight young viewers, as most movies of this genre seem to do. Even though most will agree that the boring dialogue and one-dimensional characters of Step Up are less than desirable, the movie possesses a certain enthusiasm that leaves us wanting for more.
