The authors are witty, illustrating several points by incorporating humor. The book is geared toward adults, those either entering ballet for the first time or returning after years away from the studio. The book teaches the basic positions of ballet as well as barre exercises, steps, jumps and turns. After reading the book, the reader will have a basic understanding of ballet and be ready to try a few basic steps. Although it can't take the place of attending ballet classes, it will definitely give the reader a head start into their leap into the world of ballet.
