The Running Man is a popular jazz dance step often performed on dance floors. Originally called "the Hammer," the Running Man was first performed by MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice during live shows and on music videos.

To do the Running Man, begin with your feet together and arms relaxed by your sides. Lift and bend your right leg to passe while lifting the heel of your left foot. Lift your elbows up and to the sides, with your fists relaxed.
