Question: Who Are the Rockettes?
Answer: Best-known for high-kicking in perfect unison, the Rockettes are a popular dance company that performs out of the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Originally known as the "Missouri Rockets," the dance group was founded in 1925 by Russell Markert in St. Louis.

During the holiday season, the Rockettes performed 5 live shows a day, seven days a week. The "Radio City Christmas Spectacular" is performed each year at Radio City Music Hall and in several other cities. With an audience of over 2 million per year, it is one of the most-watched live shows in the United States. The Rockettes also perform annually at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the America's Thanksgiving Parade in Detroit. The NBC Rockefeller Center Tree-Lighting Ceremony also includes a performance by the dance team.
