Thursday October 2, 2008
Twenty dancers - 10 males and 10 females - were chosen out of more than 2,500 dancers who auditioned for the inaugural season of So You Think You Can Dance Canada. As in the U.S. version of the reality dance show, the 20 dancers will be split into 10 couples and be expected to learn a new dance routine each week. They will compete for viewer votes in their first two-hour performance episode Oct. 8. The following night one male and one female dancer will be sent home.
Meanwhile, U.S. fans can catch a live performance of their top 11 dancers from So You Think You Can Dance 2008. The live tour began last month and will continue until November 17th. Tickets may be purchased online for the remaining shows.
